Pumpkin seed oil is produced from roasted, shelless pumpkin seeds using a traditional so-called Styrian method. It is a dark brown-greenish colored, particularly aromatic oil.
Aside from culinary use, the shelless pumpkin seed oil is also widely acclaimed as a remedy.
In traditional medicine, it is used to treat men with prostate issues and women with bladder issues. Its unsaturated fatty acids restore high cholesterol-levels and slow arteriosclerosis. It protects the body from free radicals, the catalysts of numerous diseases. Its high antioxidant-content slows the aging process within the body and binds free radicals. Its high vitamin E content assists in the improvement of sexual functions.
Due to its particular taste, it can be used as a standalone salad dressing, however, it can also be mixed with other oils.
